Examinations at Warneford

At Warneford, we are committed to supporting every student to achieve their full potential. Our strong examination results reflect the dedication, hard work and commitment of our students, staff and families.

All students are entered for public examinations at Key Stage 4. Throughout their time at Warneford, students are carefully prepared through a programme of mock examinations, internal assessments and regular testing. This helps students to build their knowledge, develop effective examination skills and become familiar with examination procedures and expectations.

Examination Timetables and Entries

The Exams Office, managed by Mrs Gibson, oversees all examination entries and timetabling.

We aim to publish examination information and timetables as early as possible so that students and parents have plenty of time to prepare.

Students will receive:

• a Statement of Entry, confirming the examinations they have been entered for; and
• a personalised examination timetable, showing the date, time and details of each examination.

Students should also check the examination noticeboard in the Dining Hall regularly. This will contain important updates and final arrangements, including information about any specific equipment or materials required for individual examinations.

JCQ Regulations

Warneford follows the examination guidelines and regulations set out by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ). These regulations apply to all students taking public examinations and help to ensure that examinations are conducted fairly, consistently and securely.
