Geography

Geography is more than just maps and mountains — it’s the adventure of exploring our planet! At Highworth Warneford School, our Geography curriculum sparks curiosity about the world around us, exploring powerful natural forces like volcanoes and earthquakes, extreme weather to global inequality, from natural disasters to urban development — our Geography students explore the big questions affecting people and the planet today.

Geography at Warneford is taught as a discrete subject at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. We aim to stimulate pupils’ interest in the dynamic surroundings and foster a sense of wonder of the world around us!

Through map skills, digital tools, and fieldwork, our students don’t just learn Geography — they live it. Whether it's tracking storms, designing sustainable cities, or debating real-world global issues, Geography helps students see the bigger picture and their place in it.

Geography helps students become informed global citizens — ready to think critically, debate ideas, and make a difference. Whether you’re planning to be an engineer, environmentalist, journalist, or just someone who wants to understand the world better, Geography opens doors.
