We would like to let you know that the exciting school Christmas Cracker Concerts are coming up very soon. All music groups are performing, along with a range of fantastic solo / duo acts, bands and smaller ensembles!
Tickets are available here: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/highworth-warneford-school/e-xpylle
The concerts will take place on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th December, starting at 6:30pm. The concerts will be finished by 9:30pm. Tickets can be purchased via the ticket source link above, or on the doors on the night (cash only): priced at £5 per adult and £3 for students, other children, staff and senior citizens. Why not come on both nights to really get in the festive mood? (The shows are a little different each night).
Cash only refreshments will be served before the show, and during the interval.
We really hope you will be able to attend and support our young musicians as they perform the music that they have been working so very hard on since September. The theme will be festive fun, and performers (and audience members!) are encouraged to wear Christmas jumpers, or their most sparkly festive outfits. There will be prizes given out for the most festive junior and senior attire!
We very much look forward to welcoming you through the doors on the 17th and 18th of December!
Merry Christmas!
Best Wishes,
Mr. J Hanson

Yesterday, 34 students from Year 10 and Year 9 had an exciting trip to Atlassian Williams Racing. Taking a trip around the museum to look at some of the F1 cars from past years, a very competitive session on the Simulators where the students and teachers had a chance to race against each other. Finally, the day finished with a STEM workshop where students competed against each other in the Williams Composite challenge where they were joined by two engineers who came and spoke to the students about their journeys into F1.
We would like to thank Williams Racing for hosting us for the day and inspiring the students.

WRDE UP hitting the right notes with local piano students!
Local Highworth secondary school students are the recent beneficiaries of a wonderful donation. The funds for this fantastic Yamaha U1 upright piano worth over £3500 were kindly donated to Highworth Warneford school Music department by the WRDE UP music festival committee. The piano will benefit all students across years 7-11 including piano students who can now be taught on an industry standard instrument. Mr Hanson, head of Music at Warneford and Janet Hodgson, piano teacher, would like to publicly thank the committee for this amazing gift which will benefit students at the school for many generations to come. Pictured in the photo are piano students (from left to right) - Emma Hudson, Lydia Prior-Carter, Harriet Matthews, Samukelo Mthimunye, Oliver Dix and Lance Draper. Also in the photo is our additional piano teacher, Aniela Zylinski.
Please have a look at the Presentation and Information booklet.
