SCIENCE

Science at Warneford

KS3 Science at Warneford is taught across two years, following an accelerated route that allows us to give a better choice of Science routes in KS4. We run informative and popular trips to We are the Curious in Bristol and Bristol Zoo.  Our Year 7 and 8 pupils will follow 2 discrete topics from each of Biology, Chemistry and Physics which are detailed in the table below.

We pride ourselves in offering a challenging concept-based academic curriculum in KS4, which is delivered by a team of strong, experienced teachers who have a track record of producing success.  Many of our students spend Years 9, 10 and 11 studying towards towards two science GCSEs (Edexcel GCSE Combined Science).

Those who show potential are invited to study Triple Science, leading to separate Biology, Chemistry and Physics GCSEs.  This provides an ideal academic basis from which to pursue A level sciences at college and beyond.
